MELBOURNE, Fla. (January 23, 2022) – Melbourne Orlando International Airport (MLB) will once again host an airport-wide job fair throughout its terminal from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Tuesday, January 25th. The airport has teamed up with more than 15 employers, including partners in the terminal, tenants around the airfield, and businesses throughout the community to fill hundreds of open positions.
“There has never been a better time to join the airport environment alongside the already 20,000 people that work on our campus every day,” said Airport Executive Director Greg Donovan, A.A.E. “Historic times are ahead as we prepare to welcome our first-ever transatlantic flights from the UK that are anticipated to bring 150,000 British visitors in this first year. We and our partners are seeking the right people that will help us welcome, embrace and successfully carry out what is set to be one of the largest tourism operations our area and airport have ever seen.”
The airport is currently undergoing a $72 million Terminal Renovation and Expansion Project to accommodate the influx of travelers that are scheduled to arrive this March. To accommodate the growth, the airport’s partner Menzies Aviation is hiring various positions like ticketing agents, baggage handlers, and more that will play a vital role in the new international air service. Additionally, with new concessions in the works in the terminal expansion, MLB’s master concessionaire Metz Culinary Management will be hiring for the expanded restaurant and retail operations.
Many airfield tenants will also be in attendance, seeking a variety of positions from technicians to engineers. Companies include Embraer Executive Jets, Satcom Direct, Southeast Aerospace, STS Mod Center, Kindred Hospital and more.
Several food trucks will be located on site and parking will be free for all attendees. In accordance with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Security Directive and to ensure safety for all employers and attendees, masks are required in the airport.
