Delta Offers Paperless Check-In at Melbourne International
MLB now one of 100 airports worldwide to offer eBoarding convenience
MELBOURNE, Fla. (April 16, 2013) —Melbourne International Airport (MLB), through Delta Air Lines, announces the addition of paperless eBoarding passes for airport patrons.
This new passenger check-in option is a time-saving service that allows customers who check in on Delta.com or the Delta App to download boarding passes to their smartphone or other preferred mobile device. Customers then simply present a photo identification and scan their eBoarding pass at the Transportation Security Administration checkpoint.
Delta customers with eBoarding passes can check their luggage curbside at airports where the service is available then proceed to the security checkpoint. While the eBoarding service is currently available only to Delta Air Lines customers, this technology will be offered to other participating airlines in the near future.
Delta launched the service in June 2012 and has been expanding the number of airport where it is available. The service is available at 100 airports around the world, and the list is growing.
