“Elite Airways is pleased to be bringing new destinations to Long Island with a convenient schedule that is designed for weekend getaways to popular vacation destinations including Myrtle Beach, Orlando-Melbourne, Portland and Bar Harbor, Maine,” said John Pearsall, President of Elite Airways. “We anticipate passenger demand to be strong for these new routes and thank airport and community leaders for their support.”

“I am thrilled that the Town of Islip is entering into a partnership with Elite Airways”, said Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter. “The addition of Elite to the Long Island MacArthur Airport family will offer both residents and those living in Nassau and Suffolk Counties, the opportunity to travel to some of the most desirable vacation destinations along the east coast, and do so from Long Island MacArthur Airport, the kinder, gentler airport.”

“Elite Airways’ nonstop service from the Portland Jetport to Melbourne, Florida has been well received by southern Maine passengers and we believe new nonstop service between Bar Harbor and Long Island will see strong demand right from the start,” said Portland Jetport Director, Paul Bradbury. “We are very pleased Elite Airways is expanding its service, making it even more convenient for people to visit Maine this summer and fall.”

“Horry County Department of Airports is excited that Elite Airways has selected Myrtle Beach International Airport as its next airport to offer service,” said Pat Apone, Director of Airports.  “Elite Airway’s new nonstop service from Long Island MacArthur Airport to Myrtle Beach International Airport is a welcomed new route currently not served by any other carrier operating at the airport, and should be very popular to the traveling public.”

“MLB is proud that Elite Airways has its maintenance operations here in Melbourne, and it’s a great day for the community when we can announce new nonstop service to popular destinations like Long Island. With Northrop Grumman’s expansion here, we also know we have hundreds of families from Bethpage who are likely to frequent these short, nonstop flights,” said Greg Donovan, AAE, executive director of Orlando Melbourne International Airport.
