U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds to headline 2017 Melbourne Air & Space Show
Scheduled for April 1-2, 2017 at Orlando Melbourne International Airport
MELBOURNE, FL – The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds will return to headline the 2017 Melbourne Air & Space Show, sponsored by Northrop Grumman, which will take place April 1-2 at Orlando Melbourne International Airport.
Tickets are already on sale at special renewal rate pricing for the next 72 hours. Anyone who buys tickets before midnight Wednesday will save 45 percent off the day of event price.
The Thunderbirds flight demonstration team includes six pilots, flying patriotic red, white and blue F-16s that fly in formation and perform aerial maneuvers sometimes just inches apart. They fly 40 maneuvers during their demonstration which showcase their skill and dedication.
“We are thrilled to have the Thunderbirds back in Melbourne next year and our planning has already begun to put on another great Melbourne Air & Space Show,” said Bryan Lilley, chairman of the National Air, Sea and Space Foundation who hosts the show. “2017 will be the fourth year in a row that a major jet demonstration team is headlining the event.”

Sunny skies and spring temperatures contributed to a great Sunday at the Melbourne Air & Space Show, where thousands inside the gates and hundreds of thousands outsides the gates over the three days enjoyed performances by the F16 Viper Demo Team, the Breitling Jet Team, Team Aeroshell and more than a dozen performers throughout the four-hour air show.
