“We are thrilled to have the Thunderbirds back in Melbourne next year and our planning has already begun to put on another great Melbourne Air & Space Show,” said Bryan Lilley, chairman of the National Air, Sea and Space Foundation who hosts the show. “2017 will be the fourth year in a row that a major jet demonstration team is headlining the event.”

“We need to thank everyone who made this year’s event possible, from the fantastic cooperation with have the Melbourne Police and Fire officials, to the great team at Orlando Melbourne International Airport, and the amazing army of volunteers who come out every year to make this event a huge success. We want to thank everyone who came out and enjoyed the show, which included our first ever Friday Night Flight airshow, as well. And we can’t wait to next year’s event.”

Sunny skies and spring temperatures contributed to a great Sunday at the Melbourne Air & Space Show, where thousands inside the gates and hundreds of thousands outsides the gates over the three days enjoyed performances by the F16 Viper Demo Team, the Breitling Jet Team, Team Aeroshell and more than a dozen performers throughout the four-hour air show.
