Melbourne Air & Space Show to host its First International Jet Team

The Breitling Jet Team will kick off its 2016 American Tour in Melbourne!

MELBOURNE, FL – The Melbourne Air & Space Show, sponsored by Northrop Grumman, will add another first in 2016 as it hosts the Breitling Jet Team, a seven aircraft European jet demonstration team.

The Breitling Jet Team, based in Dijon, France will kick off its 2016 American Tour at the Melbourne Air & Space Show.  Their tour schedule was just recently announced and Melbourne will be one of only 16 air shows the Breitling Jet Team will perform at in 2016.

The seven aircraft team features some of the best former European military pilots in the World. Unlike North American Teams that typically hold the same formation during each pass, the Breitling Jet Team is more like an aerial symphony, transitioning between formations during several passes. The finale maneuver of the team is an amazing seven-ship flare launch break.

“We’re honored Breitling chose Melbourne for the kickoff of their 2016 American Tour” said Bryan Lilley, Chairman of the Melbourne Air & Space Show. “Expanding to host international performers is a huge step for the Melbourne Air and Space Show and we’ll have a second international performer to announce in the near future!
