Demand prompts Delta to use bigger jets at Melbourne airport

While much of the attention on Melbourne International Airport these days has been about economic development, its commercial air activity also is tallying some gains.
Delta Air Lines, one of the two "legacy" commercial carriers to operate from Melbourne International, this month began using bigger MD-88 jets for its four daily flights. That increased the number of available seats offered by Delta by 25 percent.
